Utilizing images of insects and flowers these works speak to the act of pollination, the sharing of pollen between plants, which enables the fertilization and sexual reproduction of their species. In the age of information, data, like pollen, can be transferred, shared, and even lost on the wings of a stiff breeze.

This body of work is ironically the product of a catastrophic data loss: through a series of technological failings, a digital cross-pollination occurred resulting in the unexpected and autonomous construction of wholly unique images.

Questioning the essence of art and its genesis, while playing upon technology's habit of mimicking the mechanics of nature - 'crash_' mirrors the eons old methodology of pollination and fits it into a modern simulacrum of the act, proving that we are never as far from the source as we might think.
